Betsy Z. Casañas: “Call & Response” Opening Reception Recap

Taller Puertorriqueño, also known as the “cultural heart of the neighborhood,” is commemorating five decades of service to the art and culture of the Latino community with an exhibition that pays tribute to an outstanding Boricua artist who is also celebrating her 50th birthday, Betsy Casañas.
The “Call & Response” exhibit presents various works by Casañas, who shares a special bond with Taller.
“My relationship with Taller Puertorriqueño began more than 30 years ago. It was the first organization that gave me my first opportunity as a young artist,” said Betsy, whose exhibition has been commemorated with a heartfelt celebration.

Taller Puertorriqueño, también conocido como el "corazón cultural del barrio", conmemora cinco décadas de servicio al arte y la cultura de la comunidad latina con una exposición que rinde homenaje a una destacada artista boricua que también celebra su 50 cumpleaños, Betsy Casañas.
La exposición "Call & Response" presenta varias obras de Casañas, que comparte un vínculo especial con Taller.
"Mi relación con Taller Puertorriqueño comenzó hace más de 30 años. Fue la primera organización que me dio mi primera oportunidad como joven artista", ha declarado Betsy, cuya exposición se ha conmemorado con una sentida celebración.
