Multimedia Producer

¡Presente! Media is seeking a Multimedia Producer to support our production department.

Responsibilities/Main Tasks

  • Coordinate the production of short videojournalism and documentary-style videos for ¡Presente! Media’s website and social media 

  • Participate in the story meetings, 

  • Produce, shoot (remotely and in person), edit, write scripts, subtitle videos (In English and Spanish),  

  • Update ¡Presente! Media’s website using squarespace

  • Work closely with other team members to keep and organize a production schedule - this includes producing stories related to ¡Presente! Media’s main topics, using diverse voices, creating timely stories that follows ¡Presente! Media editorial’s view

  • Coordinate a call for stories and respond to suggestions.

  • Work with Collaborators/Freelancers and community members.

  • If needed, support with social media publishing

Qualifications

  • Sensibility and interest in community journalism and ¡Presente! Media’s areas of interest

  • Deep understanding of Philadelphia metro area and the Latinx community

  • 4+ years proven experience as a Filmmaker, Producer or similar role

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish a must; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus

  • Abilities in planning and coordinating people and operations

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Outstanding communication and people abilities

  • Reliability and efficiency

  • Attention to detail

  • Must have your own computer 

  • Having your own camera equipment is a plus

  • Located in Philadelphia is preferred


Marketing Associate

¡Presente! Media is seeking a Marketing Associate to support our engagement and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and copy-editing skills

  • Knowledge of social media platforms

  • Interest in the Philadelphia Latino community

  • Knowledge of Canva, Later social media scheduler and Squarespace

  • Sensibility and interest in community journalism and ¡Presente! Media’s areas of interest

  • Deep understanding of the Philadelphia metro area and the Latinx community

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish a must; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus

  • Reliability and efficiency

  • Attention to detail

  • Must have your own computer 

Responsibilities /Areas of Work

  • Create an editorial social media calendar, manage ¡Presente! Media's social media channels, including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. 

  • Engage with followers regularly fostering a positive and engaged community.

  • Create content aligned with ¡Presente! Media's mission and follow our style branding.

  • Create graphics and engaging video content inspired by articles and write

    engaging social media captions.

  • Update Instagram stories daily to maintain a dynamic online presence.

  • Maintain and update the ¡Presente! Media website by adding new articles and

    multimedia content.

  • Develop and distribute seasonal newsletters using Mailchimp to keep subscribers informed.

  • Monitor metrics and assist in devising strategies to enhance follower engagement and

    increase website page views.

  • Work collaboratively with the Program Manager, Program Director, and other collaborators.

    This is a freelance paid opportunity ($25/h) for 8-13 hrs/week working until the end of December.
